When you consider ways to make money on the Internet you should look into joint ventures. The Internet is a great place to meet people, make new friends, and cement some new business partners.

In this article we will look at how you can earn money with joint ventures.

Joint ventures can be done in many different ways. Some can be as easy as trading promotions in each others newsletters. You mail out an offer for them to your list and they mail out an offer for your product to theirs.

Others ways to do joint ventures would be to develop a new product together with a jv partner, or promote a series of products for each other. All these could be ways to do a joint venture and make more money for both of you.

So an obvious question is how do you do a joint venture if you are new to Internet marketing and would not know who to contact. Here are a few ideas on that.

1. Get involved in discussion forums that relate to the niche your business is in. You can quickly meet new people and make new friends. Out of that can come ideas to make money and work together on.

2. You can Google search for keywords that relate to your niche and then start emailing website owners if you like their website. This could be a numbers game as more established business owners would not have the time or interest in working with you yet.

If you have a good idea a smart person will at least consider it. The key is to make it personal by including their name, if you can find it, as well as their website address in your email. This way it does not come across as spam.

3. Begin to build a list of possible jv partners. You do this by not mass mailing. Take time in approaching possible partners.

Be polite and offer a valid compliment. Let them know what you like about their website or business. Point out things you notice that makes them different from their competitors.

If they blog or have a place to leave comments take a minute and write a couple. This may help get you noticed and even get a reply back from them.

4. Make good on what you say you will do.

Your goal is to get them to trust you enough to agree on what you are offering to them. Do not exaggerate in the income potential. An established website owner will know when you are being truthful or are full of hot air.

Getting started in joint ventures does not have to be intimidating. And it can really be a boost to your business and income. Just think of all the benefits you will be getting.

Another benefit of joint ventures with other another business is it gives you a leg up on your competition because they do not have the same opportunity as you.

Here are 5 more benefits I can think of.

1. You could get you more leads and referrals.

2.Sharing costs can lower your overhead on each individual project.

3. You can save time by splitting duties.

4. You can learn from your partner.

5. You get free advice you might otherwise have to pay for.

6. The Internet can be a lonely place to work. Doing joint ventures offer some companionship.

7. They are down right fun when they work!

The bottom line on joint ventures is they are a partnership. If you are a team player you will do well with these. If you are the type of person who is used to working solo or has to be the boss they may not be for you. Hopefully that is not the case as they do have a lot to offer most Internet business owners.
